Early voting for Jackson County registered voters will be held at the historic county courthouse in Brownstown and at the Jackson County Public Library in Seymour starting Tuesday Oct. 6
Voting at the library will be Monday through Friday, Oct. 6 through 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Voting at the courthouse will 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Oct. 6 to 30. There will be Saturday voting hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 24 & 31 at the courthouse. Early voting will conclude at the courthouse on Monday, Nov. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
The General election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, with voting from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at all traditional polling locations.
The Jackson County Learning Center will not serve as an early voting locationm for this election but will be open on election day voting, according to the clerk’s office.
In Scott County early voting will be held in the county courthouse and at the Austin High School girls gym.
At the courthouse early voting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 6-Oct. 9, Oct. 13-16, Oct. 16-24. Oct. 26-31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On Monday, Nov. 2, the courthouse will have early voting from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Early voting at the AHS girls gym will be on Saturdays, Oct. 24 & 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Both early voting sites close from lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, the AHS girls gym will be open for voting from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Election day voting at Scottsburg will take place at the Scottsburg High School McClain Hall Gym on South Gardner Street from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
