The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that there will be single-lane closures on southbound I-65 in Jackson and Scott counties.

This week crews will begin widening work on southbound I-65 between Seymour (Exit 50) and Scottsburg (Exit 29) for a planned interstate patching and bridge rehabilitation project.

Crews will intermittently close the left lane of southbound I-65 in various locations throughout the project area (between MM 50 and 29) while widening work is in progress. Southbound widening work is expected to take up to two weeks, weather permitting.

Following completion of widening work on southbound I-65, crews will begin widening work on northbound I-65 and patching operations on southbound I-65. The overall project is expected to be complete in late October.
