Chad Wilson

Chad Wilson of Crothersville has been selected as a winner of the Hoosier Lottery Community Impact Award, sponsored by the Hoosier Lottery and the Indiana Pacers. Wilson was recognized last Thursday, Feb. 26, at an Indiana Pacers basketball game in Indianapolis.

Wilson was selected for his years of dedicated service of empowering students and community involvement. He started coaching elementary basketball in 2004 and accepted a position at Crothersville Jr./Sr. High School as a teacher’s aide a few years later. Over the past 16 years, Wilson has volunteered as a summer weights and conditioning coach, athletic department fundraising and event coordinator, and sound technician for all home athletic events. Wilson is currently the sponsor of the CHS Student Council.

Wilson earned an IHSAA Sportsmanship award in 2019. Wilson is currently in his third term with the Crothersville Town Council and in his first term with the Jackson County Public Library Board of Trustees.

Wilson has been active in the Crothersville community, volunteering for various events dating back to 1992. In addition to his full-time position at school and volunteer work, Wilson owns a lawn care business, which he started in 2005.
