Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Jackson County, Indiana, that the proper legal officer of Jackson County at their regular meeting place at Jackson County Courthouse Annex, at 8:00 a.m. on the 17th day of December, 2025, will consider the following appropriations in excess of the budget for the current year.

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING
The Scottsburg Board of Public Works and Safety hereby gives notice that the Scottsburg Common Council passed Ordinance No. 2025-16 on October 27, 2025, establishing a storm water user fee pursuant to Indiana Code 8-1.5-5-7. The rate set forth in Ordinance No. 2025-16 shall not take effect unless and until this Board conducts a public hearing on the proposed rate and subsequently adopts the rate as required by law.
A public hearing regarding the proposed storm water user fee will be held before the Scottsburg Board of Public Works and Safety on December 30, 2025, at 1:30 PM, at Scottsburg City Hall, located at 821 S. Lake Road, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170.
At the hearing, the Board will receive public comment on the proposed rate and may take action to approve or modify the rate as provided under Indiana law.
A copy of Ordinance No. 2025-16 is available for public review at the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer during normal business hours.
