
Indiana State Police Troopers arrested 22-year-old Eric S. Crawford of Hardinsburg last Tuesday, Nov. 18, on three counts of possession of child pornography as the result of an ISP investigation which began over a year ago.
In late July 2024, Indiana State Police Detective Travis Baker began an investigation into an alleged child sexual abuse case in Washington County. As part of this case, Det. Baker secured a search warrant for a social media account linked to Eric Crawford, resulting in thousands of files for review. During this process, photos of another juvenile victim unrelated to the initial investigation were discovered.
Baker sent his investigation findings to the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office for review and potential filing of charges. On Monday, Nov. 17, an arrest warrant was formally issued for Crawford for three counts of felony possession of child pornography.
Trooper Brett Walters arrested Crawford in Harrison County and he was booked into Washington County Jail at 2 a.m. last Wednesday. He is being held without bond.
