Pursuant to Indiana Code § 36-7-14 et seq., notice is hereby given that the Austin Redevelopment Commission will hold a public meeting and hearing to consider the establishment of a Housing Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Area within the City of Austin.

The purpose of this meeting and hearing is to receive public input and consider the adoption of a resolution designating a Housing TIF Area, which is preliminarily proposed to be located to the south of York Road and to the West of Railroad Street known as the York Woods Crossing Subdivision. The designation of this area is intended to encourage residential development, promote economic growth, and enhance the availability of housing within the City of Austin.
At the public meeting, the Redevelopment Commission will consider relevant findings required under Indiana law, including the necessity of the Housing TIF Area, its potential economic impact, and the public benefits associated with its establishment. Interested parties are invited to attend and provide public comment.
