LEGAL NOTICE

Notice of Explanation of Project Located In a Floodplain/Wetland

This is to give notice that the City of Scottsburg has conducted an evaluation as required by Executive Order 11990 in accordance with HUD regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 to determine the potential effect that its activity in the wetland will have on the environment.  The City of Scottsburg has determined that there is not a practicable alternative other than locating the proposed Community Development Block Grant project described below in a wetland.

The improvements must be located in the floodplain because the existing water system runs through the wetland already.

By publication of this notice City of Scottsburg is inviting any final written comments prior to undertaking the proposed action. All comments should be addressed to Kleinpeter Consulting Group, LLC PO Box 37 Whiteland IN, 46184 or via email at mike@kleinpeterconsulting.com not later than March 7, 2025.
