A 60-year old Louisville, KY man has been charged in Scott Circuit Court with child solicitation as well as possession of marijuana after he thought he was meeting a 14-year-old Austin girl named ‘Sierra’ after a nearly two week long on-line sexual content filled communication.
‘Sierra’ was actually, Scott County Sheriff’s Detective Donovan McCutcheon, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Breece A. Martin, 60, of the 1300 block of Lincoln Ave in Louisville, responded to an anonymous ad online where individuals can seek platonic relationships to sexual encounters.
According to McCutcheon, the online conversation began Dec. 27 with flirtatious, sexual content with a girl. ‘Sierra’ who Martin thought was only 14. The sexual nature of the conversation between the two was escalated by Martin sending the undercover police officer a kissing face emoji stating “there’s your early new years kiss.”
After the new year, Martin began asking what he thought was a 14 year old when her mother would be going back to work and encouraging the “teen” to meet with him.
Over the next several days, Martin’s initiated more sexual suggestions of what the pair could do together, according to the court document.
According to McCutcheon in the probable cause affidavit, Martin’s conversation “showed his intent on engaging in sexual intercourse with someone he believes is 14-years-old.”
Marin suggested that he meet with ‘Sierra’ when her mother is not at home. Martin sent photos of himself and suggested ‘Sierra’ send him nude photos of herself.
Martin continued to comment on what sexual activity the two could do together, the court document read. He said he would travel to her home claimed to be at 312 Boatman Road in the Spicertown area of west Austin on Monday, Jan. 6. According to the court document, ‘Sierra’ asked him to bring a Big Red drink, gummy worms, and condoms.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Martin’s white Ford F150 was seen pulling into the Marathon Station on the west side of Austin and the store’s security video showed Martin purchasing two Big Red soft drinks, a bag of gummy worms and a pack of Trojan Ecstasy condoms.
Martin proceeded south from the Marathon Station on the location on Boatman Road. As he attempted to pull into the residence’s driveway, Scott County and Austin law enforcement units moved in with emergency lights activated.
When he was removed from his vehicle, according to the PCA, police found the merchandise purchased at the Marathon station, a marijuana cigarette, and rubber rings which are used by males to place on their gentialia during sexual intercourse.
Martin was booked into Scott County Jail at 12:13 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7. On Friday, Jan. 10, Judge Jason Mount set Martin’s bond at $50,000.
