NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO LEASE
CROTHERSVILLE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing for the project described below will be held pursuant to Indiana Code 20-47-3-9 before the Board of School Trustees of Crothersville Community Schools (the “Board” and the “School Corporation,” respectively) upon a proposed Amendment to Lease (the “Fourth Amendment”), amending a Lease dated as of December 15, 2000 (the “Original Lease”), as amended by an Amendment to Lease dated as of March 30, 2005 (the “First Amendment”), a Second Amendment to Lease dated as of March 11, 2015 (the “Second Amendment”) and a Third Amendment to Lease dated as of October 11, 2021 (the “Third Amendment to Lease,” the Original Lease as amended by the First Amendment, the Second Amendment and the Third Amendment, and as further amended to the date hereof, the “Lease”) on February 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the School Corporation’s Central Office at 201 South Preston Street, Crothersville, Indiana 47229, between the School Corporation and the Crothersville 2000 School Building Corporation, a school building corporation incorporated under Indiana Code 20-47-3 (the “Building Corporation”). The Fourth Amendment will permit the construction of all or a portion of: (i) comprehensive HVAC upgrades, renovations, replacements and repairs at all school corporation facilities, (ii) related heating, cooling, air handler system and chiller repairs, equipping and upgrades, (iii) boiler repairs, replacements and upgrades, (iv) related plumbing and electrical renovations, (v) cafetorium sound system upgrades and improvements, (vi) fire alarm upgrades, (vii) parking lot repairs, and (viii) other replated repairs, upgrades and renovations (items ((i) through (viii) collectively, the “Project”), to permit such facilities to be utilized for school purposes.
Pursuant to the Lease, the Building Corporation leases certain real property, including but not limited to substantially all of Crothersville Elementary School and Crothersville Junior/Senior High School in Crothersville, Indiana and certain other property, to the School Corporation. The Lease provides for a maximum annual rental of approximately $798,000 with annual rentals under the Original Lease ending July 5, 2040.
The Fourth Amendment will extend the term of the Lease to a term not exceeding 22 years following execution of the Fourth Amendment. The Fourth Amendment will provide for annual rentals related to the Project of not to exceed $1,570,000, these will be in addition to the rentals included in the Lease.
As additional rental, the School Corporation shall maintain insurance on the leased premises under the Lease as required in the Lease and shall pay all taxes and assessments against such property, as well as the cost of alterations and repairs. The plans and specifications, including statements of the cost of the projects, as well as a copy of the proposed Lease and Fourth Amendment, are available for inspection by the public on all business days during business hours, at the administrative office of the School Corporation, 201 South Preston Street, Crothersville, Indiana.
At the hearing for the project described herein, all persons interested shall have a right to be heard on the necessity for the execution of such Fourth Amendment with respect to Project, and upon whether the lease rental provided for therein to be paid to the Building Corporation is a fair and reasonable rental for the proposed Project. The hearing may be adjourned to a later date or dates, and following the hearing, the Board of School Trustees may either authorize the execution of the Fourth Amendment with respect to the Project as originally agreed upon or may make modifications thereto as may be agreed upon with the Building Corporation.

Notice for Early Public Review of a Proposal to Support Activity in the (100-Year Floodplain)
The City of Scottsburg is proposing to expend federal funds in an area that is subject to flooding as identified by the Federal Emergency Management Administration. The subject funds are Community Development Block Grant funds administered by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
This notice is required by Section 2(b) of Executive Order 11990 for the Protection of Wetlands and is implemented by HUD Regulations found at 24 CFR 55.20(b) for the HUD action that is within and/or affects a floodplain.
The City of Scottsburg is proposing to undertake the following activities at Walnut Street between Gardner St. to the railroad tracks and US 31 from West Lake Rd. to Fairground Rd. This project consists of the installation of water main pipes, new hydrants, and connection to the existing water main.
The purpose of this notice is to give an early opportunity for interested agencies, persons or groups to comment on the proposed action(s). The City of Scottsburg will consider any feasible alternatives or adjustments to the anticipated project which might minimize any potential adverse effects upon the floodplain as a result of the project.
The City of Scottsburg has additional information concerning this project available for public review and copying, upon request, at the City Hall located at 2 East McClain Avenue Scottsburg, Indiana 47170.
