Austin Alumni Association is accepting orders for tickets to an inaugural fundraiser featuring Austin Alumni performing in concert this Saturday, Oct. 19. at 6 p.m. at the Austin High School auditorium.

Tickets are $10 each and anyone who pre-orders will be entered into the raffle for an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

Half of the proceeds raised from ticket sales will go to hurricane disaster relief and the other half will go to AHS scholarships. All donations made will go to disaster relief.

Austin Alumni Association President Ishmael White said that there will be a selected school impacted by the disaster of Hurricanes Helene and Milton that will receive the donations.

He added that this wasn’t the first time the AHS Alumni has contributed to a school hit by disaster relief, two years ago there was $3,800.00 donated to Buckhorn High School in Kentucky for disaster relief.

“That proves that we can overcome anything,” said White, “if we work together. Sometimes, you need to look beyond our needs and look outward toward those of greater need.

Scheduled to perform at the Austin High School Auditorium include Daniel Alexander Band, Steve Plasse, Tesia White, Lanny McIntosh and Friends, On The House and Brooke Hall.

Ticket can be purchased at Holland’s Barber Shop in Austin, contacting White (via Facebook or calling the high school 812-794-8730), Pat Hall Forbes (via Facebook) and Rick Rigel.
