Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company is scheduled to close State Road 258 over Spray Creek on or after Monday, August 5, to complete a small structure replacement project in Jackson County.
The closure will take place approximately three miles east of Freetown between Permission Lake Drive and North County Road 190 West and is expected to take up to 30 days, weather permitting. Crews will begin to place signage in the area prior to the start of construction. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows S.R. 11 to U.S. 50 to S.R. 135 back to S.R. 258. Locals will use CR 190 W to CR 600 N to CR 100 W and back to SR 258
This project is part of a contract awarded to Force Construction in May 2023.
