THE TOWN OF CROTHERSVILLE, INDIANA
Pursuant to I.C. § 36-4-3-11.1, all interested parties, owning real estate within one of the areas sought to be annexed by the Town of Crothersville, Indiana, are hereby notified of the remonstrance process.
The Town of Crothersville adopted an Annexation Master Plan on August 3, 2021. The Town then held six public information meetings regarding the proposed annexation, between October 18, 2021 and October 27, 2021. The Town’s engineering firm, FPBH, Inc., put together an Annexation Study and a fiscal plan, as well as looked at current and proposed boundaries, zoning, and other effects of annexation. The annexation ordinance was introduced at the Crothersville Town Council meeting on January 4, 2022. A subsequent public hearing was held on March 28, 2022, and the Town Council completed the adoption of the five annexation (5) ordinances on May 2, 2022.
In order to remonstrate against the annexation, an interested party must complete and file a remonstrance petition in compliance with I.C. § 36-4-3, not later than ninety (90) days after the date of publication of the annexation ordinances (June 1, 2022). The last date by which a remonstrance petition may be validly filed with the county auditor is Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
Beginning on June 2, 2022, through August 30, 2022, remonstrance petitions may be signed at Crothersville Town Hall, 111 E. REGARDING DETERMINATION
TO ISSUE BONDS OF THE
AUSTIN REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The taxpayers of the City of Austin, Indiana (the “City”) are hereby given notice that the Redevelopment Authority (the “Authority”) of the City determined, at its meeting held May 25, 2022, to issue its Lease Rental Revenue Bonds of 2022 in an amount not to exceed $4,000,000 (the “Bonds”). The proceeds of the Bonds will be used for (i) construction of a building for the City’s Police Department; (ii) utility and infrastructure improvements to support certain housing developments and businesses; (iii) expansion of Dowling Road; (iv) new infrastructure for City Hall; (v) physical education equipment for Scott School District 1; (vi) certain matching grant funds; and (vii) payment of costs of issuance for the Bonds. The proposed Bonds will have a final maturity of no later than January 15, 2040. The Bonds will bear interest at a rate or rates not exceeding four and one half percent (4.50%) per annum, the exact rate or rates to be determined by a negotiated sale. The Bonds will be payable from real property tax proceeds from assessed valuation in the Austin Economic Development Area No. 1 (formerly known as the Austin Economic Development Area) in excess of the assessed valuation described in Indiana Code 36-7-14-39(b)(1), as such statutory provisions exist as of May 25, 2022 (“Tax Increment”), and, to the extent Tax Increment is not sufficient, from a special benefits tax levied on all of the taxable property in the Austin Redevelopment District.

Notice is hereby given that the City of Scottsburg will receive bids at the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Scottsburg, Indiana until 4:30 on Friday June 17th for the 2022-1 Community Crossing Resurfacing Program.
At the hour of 11:00 a.m. local time on June 20, 2022 all bids for this work will be opened and read aloud and taken under advisement in the Scottsburg City Hall at 2 East McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana.
On June 27th the bids will be awarded at the Scottsburg Board of Works meeting at approximately 5:30 p.m. The awardee shall start this project no later than 45 days from that date and be done by November 1, 2022.
Bids shall be unit price for all work called for in the contract documents and submitted on the forms prescribed including and submitting on the forms prescribed including the State Board of Accounts Form No. 96.
The bidder must file with their sealed bid, a certified check or bid bond in the amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total bid, payable to the City of Scottsburg. The above check or bid bond is to ensure the execution of the contract on which such bid is made.
The contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish, before commencing word, a performance, maintenance and payment bond in the amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said contractor, and certificates of all insurance required to specifications.
