NOTICE OF ADOPTION TO BRANDON SEBASTIAN

Brandon Sebastian is notified that a Petition for Adoption of a child, named Varonicca Reese Arlene Cain, born to Brianna Cain on June 1, 2011, was filed in the office of the clerk of the Scott Superior Court, Courthouse, 1 East McClain Avenue, Suite 120, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170. The Petition for Adoption alleges that the consent to adoption of Brandon Sebastian is not required because: (1) for a period of at least one year he has failed without justifiable cause to communicate significantly with the child when able to do so or has knowingly failed to provide for the care and support of the child when able to do so as required by law or judicial decree, and/or (2) because he is unfit to be a parent and the best interests of the child would be served if the court dispensed with his consent.

If Brandon Sebastian seeks to contest the adoption of the child, Brandon Sebastian must file a motion to contest the adoption in accordance with IC 31-19-10-1 in the above-named court not later than thirty (30) days after the date of service of this notice.

Indiana law prohibits a person who owes delinquent taxes, special assessments, penalties, interest, or costs directly attributable to a prior tax sale, from purchasing tracts or items of real property at a tax sale. Prior to bidding at a tax sale, each bidder must affirm under the penalties for perjury that he or she does not owe delinquent taxes, special assessments, penalties, interest, costs directly attributable to a prior tax sale, amounts from a final adjudication in favor of a political subdivision in this county, any civil penalties imposed for the violation of a building code or ordinance of this county, or any civil penalties imposed by a health department in this county. The Commissioners specifically reserve the right to withhold from the sale any parcel which has been listed in error, or which otherwise becomes ineligible for sale either prior to the start or during the duration of the auction.
