An investigation from a Scott County Community Correction request for assistance locating a Lexington woman on a warrant resulted in two arrests after methamphetamine was found last week.

According to Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin, last Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 10, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Scott County Community Corrections requesting assistance in locating Abigail Jackson, 36, of Lexington who was wanted on a warrant for escape from Community Corrections.

Lt. Detective John Hartman was able to locate the woman in Madison, Goodin said.

Hartman, along with deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office went to 319 Jefferson Street in Madison where Jackson was located and taken into custody without incident.

While taking Abigail Jackson into custody, deputies also located Jonathan Levi Evans, 33, of Lexington, who was also wanted out on a Scott County warrant for two counts of battery with injury, three counts of criminal mischief, intimidation and fleeing law enforcement.

Evans was spotted by deputies sitting outside of the Jefferson Street residence in a stolen red Jeep waiting on Jackson, Goodin said.

While processing the stolen Jeep, Detective Hartman located a concealed compartment under the hood containing 20 grams of methamphetamine.

Abigail Jackson and Jonathan Levi Evans were transported back to Scott County regarding their arrest warrants and additional charges were filed on Evans through Jefferson County regarding the possession of methamphetamine and auto theft.
