On Friday, May 7, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office conducted drug sweep code-named “Operation Dr. Fauci”. “Dr. Fauci is attempting to rid the United States of Covid-19 and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office is doing what it can to rid Scott County of Drug Dealers,” said Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.
Deputies hit the streets and county roads Friday morning in an arrest warrant round up consisting of cases that were investigated in relation to the possession or sale of illegal drugs, said Goodin.
As a result, eight people were arrested on the following charges.
•Amanda Combs, 33, of Austin was arrested on a court warrant for dealing in a controlled substance in the presence of a minor.
•Allison Stidham, 23, of Scottsburg was arrested on a warrant for two counts of dealing in methamphetamine.
•Janice Arbuckle, 51, of Austin was arrested on a warrant for two counts of dealing in methamphetamine.
•Cameren Zanier, 25, of Austin was arrested on a count warrant for dealing in methamphetamine.
•Jeffrey Hanner, 49, of Austin was arrested on a warrant for dealing in methamphetamine.
•Josephine Holt, 39, of Scottsburg was arrested on a court warrant for three counts of dealing in methamphetamine.
•Justin Jewell, 43, of Austin, was arrested for dealing in a controlled substance in the presence of a minor.
•Brenda Swafford, 34, of Austin was arrested on a court warrant for two counts of dealing in a controlled substance in the presence of a minor.
“With every drug dealing arrest Scott County continues to get safer and safer,” Sheriff Goodin said. “I am keeping my promise to the citizens of Scott County.
