A 48 unit community of single story duplexes and triplexes is being proposed to be built on the City of Austin’s southwest side, according to a legal notice in this week’s Crothersville Times
Rauch Inc. of New Albany is the real estate development company who has requested rezoning just over 7 acres on West York Road from R-1 Residential to R-2 Residential to allow for the construction of the new housing units.
The vacant property is currently owned by the Tex Murphy estate; the purchase and development by Rauch is contingent upon rezoning the three parcels.
A public hearing before the Austin Advisory Plan Commission on the re-zoning request will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at city hall.
