Police officers went to 10050 E. State Road 250 west of Uniontown on Friday, May 22, seeking to serve an arrest warrant on Joshua Scott Howard, 48, of Crothersville. However, when they arrived, officers smelled marijuana coming from the home.
After obtaining a search warrant, officers spoke with the four men who lived in the residence. Each told officers which bedroom where they stayed.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Detective Justin Amos, and Deputies Aaron Wilkins, Zach Elliott and Skylar Thompson along with Crothersville officers Jacob Sharp and Sam Hughes searched the residence.

According to Amos’ probable cause affidavit, in the bedroom occupied by Joshua Howard officers located methamphetamine, three syringes, marijuana, glass and metal smoking pipes, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia.
Howard was booked into Jackson County Jail at 7:17 p.m. on a Jennings County warrant for probation violation following a 2024 driving under the influence conviction, He now a faces Jackson County charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

In the bedroom occupied by Michael Hatfield officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, glass smoking pipes, a razor blade with residue, and multiple corner baggies.
Michael Wayne Hatfield, 69, of Crothersville as booked into Jackson County Jail at 11:22 p.m. charged with Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

In the bedroom occupied by Albert Hill, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, half a gram of fentanyl, smoking pipes, digital scales, three THC vape cartridges, and a variety of dug paraphernalia.
Albert Wade Hill, 55, of Crothersville was booked into jail at 11:47 p.m. facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drug, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In the bedroom occupied by Scott Haley, officers found methamphetamine, smoking devices and plates with residue
Scott A. Haley, 63, of Crothersville was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
This was the second time police made drug arrests at this Uniontown location. The Crothersville Times reported on September 3 that multiple arrests were made on Aug. 28, 2025 at this tri-level residence.
