The “Friday Night Live” outdoor summer concert series will be held again this year at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts on the northside of Seymour.
However, the SICA board has approved one significant change: concerts will be held on the first Friday of each month, May through September, rather than every Friday for several weeks as in the past.
Concerts are free and open to the public and all ages. Donations are accepted to benefit ongoing programs, exhibits, and classes at the center.
Eric DiBlasi, Jr., SICA president, said the arts center follows Covid prevention protocols recommended by the county health department.
“As our community continues efforts to put the pandemic behind us, wearing of masks is encouraged. And the hillside overlooking the stage at SICA provides plenty of room for social distancing,” DiBlasi noted. “Those attending may bring their own chairs or blankets for seating, as well as their own refreshments.”
The 2021 schedule includes:
May 7: Dr. David Hartung and Donata Cucinotta
June 4: Bad Medicine
July 2: Sounds of Dreams
Aug. 6: Skyline Drive (Joe Persinger and Mike Shelton)
Sept. 3: John Whitcomb
