HOPE Medora Goes Pink is an annual daylong festival financially supporting those who live in Indiana who are combating cancer. Each recipient receives two $50 Jay C cards or a $100 check to help in purchasing gas for travel to medical providers, money for groceries.
Since its inception, Hope Medora Goes Pink has given almost $350,000 to those affected by all types of cancer, according to the event organizer Debra Wayman.
The event began in 2010 to assist those who are battling cancer.
Among the events planned Oct. 10, include:
7 am – 10 am: Health Fair hosted by Schneck Medical Center
7 am – 1 pm : Silent Auction
7 am – 1 pm “Be My Support” Bra Contest. Winners announced at noon from stage
8 am- 10:30 am – Breakfast Brickyard Planning Committee
11 am – Lunch: Medora Senior Citizens building
9 am: 5K Run / Walk Registration: 8:00 am – 8:45 am
9 am: Car Show
10 am-4 pm: Face Painting, Inflated Obstacle Course, $5.00 wristbands
9 am-4 pm: Booths Open
All Day Bower’s Barrel ride. One time Donation of $.50 … ride all day

9 am – Noon: Joe Shield’s Photo Display 2,500 pictures ~ Late 1800’s – 1900’s at 1st & George St.
