In a coordinated effort last Thursday night Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies served two search warrants that resulted in 14 going to jail on drug related charges involving methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and controlled substances.
“The search warrants were a result of information called in to us by anonymous residents with information about illegal drug activity,” said Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.
Around 9 p.m. Thursday law enforcement went to 3499 Red Bud Lane in rural Scott County to serve a search warrant which resulted in eight people arrested out of the home on a variety of drug related charges.
•Jessie L. Broadus, 28, of Harrod Road in Austin was arrested on the preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
•Trista Rene Broadus, 27, of Harrod Road in Austin was arrested on the preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
•Steven G. Webster, 34, of Red Bud Lane, Austin was arrested on the preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
•Scott G. Martin, 40, of Red Bud Lane, Austin was arrested on the preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
•Jami Knight, 28, from Red Bud Lane, Austin was arrested on the preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
•Jessica D. Polly, 30, from Liberty Knob Road, Scottsburg was arrested on the preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
• Jeremy R. McIntosh, 42, East County Line Road, Crothersville was arrested on the preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
•Mike A. Martin, 36, from North Meridian Road, Austin was arrested on the preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.
A second search warrant was served at 1085 East Cutshall Road, Scottsburg later Thursday evening that resulted in six people charged at this property.
•Ashley Kemp, 36, from East Cutshall Road, Scottsburg was arrested on the preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, legend drug possession, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
•Bethany L. Sparrow, 35, from East Cutshall Road, Scottsburg was arrested on the preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, legend drug possession, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
•Jacob Lee Donovan Allen, 25, from North Slab Road, Scottsburg was arrested on the preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, legend drug possession, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
•Wesley M. Tevis, 21, from Jeffersonville, was arrested on the preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, legend drug possession, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
All were incarcerated at the Scott County Jail.
Also arrested were Bryce B. Mathers, 21, of Birch Street in Scottsburg and Presley S. Gambill, 27, from North Michael Drive, Scottsburg for visiting a common nuisance. They were booked into jail and released on their own Recognizance after processing per Covid-19 Rules.
“Another win for the citizens of Scott County,” said Sheriff Goodin. “With every arrest Scott County gets safer.”
The sheriff also praised alert citizens saying, “The tips are what helps us make the arrests. Keep them coming.”
