The Crothersville area enjoyed a rare white Christmas last month prompting wildbirds to seek nourishment from human friends. A lone woodpecker seemed to be seeking divine intervention from a Franciscan statue to avoid the gang of cardinals engaged in a feeding frenzy at an area bird feeder.
