Crothersville and Vernon Township voters will see races in two of the three school board seats being contested this November. The deadline for filing candidacy petitions was noon this past Friday, Aug. 22.
Incumbent Andrew Nehrt, co-owner of local manufacturing Pro-Form Plastics, faces a challenge from retired educator and owner of local restaurant Crock-A-Doodles Linda Luedeman in District 2 while incumbent school board member representing District 3 Rev. Ralph Hillenburg faces a challenge from Geoffrey Walker an employee of Valeo Sylvania in Seymour.
District 5 incumbent board member Robert Spicer filed for re-election and has no opposition.
While candidates run by district they are voted on by all Crothersville and Vernon Township voters in the Nov. 4 general election
