The Crothersville Town Council will meet in executive session tomorrow (Thursday) evening to continue discussing hiring a new chief of police. An earlier closed meeting was held last week.
Longtime Police Chief Norman Ford retired earlier this month.
The council has narrowed the applicant list to four finalists.
According to council president Ardell Mitchell, the four candidates invited to be interviewed Thursday include:
•Donald Spicer, former chief of police with the Austin Police Department;
•Charles E. Jenkins, a retired Indiana State Police officer living in Scott County;
•Vurlin McIntosh, a Captain with the Crothersville Police Department;
•Tim Boldery, of Crothersville, a former local police officer.
Mitchell said that the council hopes to announce a new chief of police at their regular meeting on March 3.
Executive sessions are closed to the public and the media.
