The Crothersville Elementary and High School will perform their respective Christmas Concerts this week. The elementary will perform tomorrow (Thursday), Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the CHS Gym.
The Crothersville High School Music Department will present its Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. in the CHS Cafetorium.
The Elementary Band will perform “Good King Wenceslas”, “Jolly Old St. Nicholas”, and “Up On The Housetop.” The Elementary Choir will sing “Happy Winter”, and “Reindeer Rock” featuring the first grade students.
Third Grade Students will play “Jingle Bells” and “Jolly Old St. Nicholas”  on the chromatic bells.
This years Christmas Play is “The Town Hall Christmas Tree”.  Students in grades kindergarten through five will perform.  The play will feature members of the Elementary Choir.
Songs will include “Such A Busy Time”, “The Postman’s Song”, “The Cookie Song”, “Balloons for Christmas”, “Carry In Those Boxes”, “We’re the Winder-Uppers”, “Department Store Santa”, Department Store Photographers”, “Chimney Sweep”, “Want to Buy A Christmas Tree”, “I’m So All Alone”, and the finale “Such A Busy Time.”
On Dec. 9, The Junior High Band will begin the concert with March from “The Nutcracker”,  “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town”, “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer”, and “Silent Night.”
The High Schol Band will perform “Jingle Bell Rock”, “White Christmas”, and “O Holy Night.”
Senior Tiffani Mitchell will sing “The Christmas Song.”  The Boys Chorus will follow with “Nuttin’ for Christmas”, and “The Chipmunk Song.”  The Middle School Girls Chorus will sing “Silver Bells” and “Holly Jolly Christmas.”
Next, the Women’s Chorus will perform “The Christmas Story” with Savannah Wooten on the flute.  They will also sing “Angels We Have Heard on High.”  Senior Savannah Wooten will then sing “O Holy Night.”
The Concert Choir, which includes all choir members, will conclude the program with “A Merry Christmas Medley”, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” “Once Upon A Christmas”, and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.”
Admission to each concert is a canned food item for the Crothersville FFA Christmas Food Drive.
