NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PETITION TO VACATE
The Town Council of the Town of Crothersville, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on July 1, 2014, at 5:30 PM at Town Hall, 111 E. Howard Street, Crothersville, Indiana, on a “Petition To Vacate Real Estate” within the jurisdiction of the Town Council. A copy of the petition is on file and available for review at Town Hall, 111 E. Howard Street, Crothersville, Indiana.
The hearing is open to the public, all adjoining property owners, and any other interested person. Interested persons may appear and offer comments on the petition during the hearing. Any person who chooses to submit written comments or objections may do so at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, Town Hall, 111 E. Howard Street, Crothersville, Indiana, before 4:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing.
The names of the Applicants are: Town of Crothersville, Indiana and Shirley A. Minton. The owner of the real estate to be vacated is the Town of Crothersville, Indiana. The Applicants have requested a vacation of the real estate because Shirley A. Minton’s house encroaches on an unplatted alleyway.
The legal description of the real estate affected is as follows: Commencing on the Northwest corner of Lot 19 of Fairview Addition; thence East along the North line of Lot 19 a distance of 150 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 19; thence North 60 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 18 of Fairview Addition; thence West along the South line of Lot 18 a distance of 150 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 18; thence South 60 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 19, being the true point of beginning, and containing 0.20 acres, more or less. The above-described real estate lies between 308 South Bethany Rd. on the north and 400 Bethany Rd. on the south.
