OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Jackson County, Indiana, that the proper legal officer of Jackson County at their regular meeting place at Jackson County Courthouse Annex, at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th day of March, 2017, will consider the following appropriations in excess of the budget for the current year.

The DLGF will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support the appropriations made within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a Certified Copy of the action taken.

PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PROJECT: Jackson County Judicial Center
LOCATION: Brownstown, IN
Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners of Jackson County will receive sealed bids under four (4) prime contracts; General Construction, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, to a Construction Manager for the construction of the new Jackson County Judicial Center.
The county has elected to move forward with the proposed construction of an approximately 38,000 sf new Judicial Center.  The new Judicial Center will be 2-stories with a partial basement structure to house the county courtrooms, court staff, clerk’s offices, prosecutor’s offices, and related ancillary functions.
Bids will be accepted at the office of the Jackson County Auditor, 111 South Main Street, Brownstown, IN 47220. Bids are due on Monday, March 20, 2017 by 4:00pm local time.
Bids will be opened and read during the March 21, 2017 County Commissioners Meeting to be held at 9:00am local time.
Bidders shall include with their bid, a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a bank draft, certified check, money order or bid bond.  Bids shall be properly and completely executed on Revised Form No. 96 as required by the Statutes of Indiana.
After the Jackson County Commissioners have made an award to the successful bidder, the bid securities will be returned within thirty (30) days.  The bid security of the lowest acceptable bidder will be returned on request after the Jackson County Commissioners have made an award to the successful bidder and if satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds have been delivered.
The Jackson County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received. In addition, Jackson County Commissioners reserve the right to accept any or all proposals which are deemed most favorable at the time and under the conditions stipulated in the Contract Documents.

CSO Community Notification
As required by 327 IAC 5-2.1-6(1) (Combined Sewer Overflow Public Notification Rule), the Town of Crothersville Wastewater Utility offers local media sources, affected public and other interested persons in and around the Crothersville area to provide information concerning frequency of overflow events that may be triggered by precipitation.  Any entity or individual desiring such information is requested to contact the Crothersville Wastewater Treatment Plant at (812) 793-2540, or, in writing, to the Wastewater Superintendent, Mason Boicourt, at 111 E. Howard Street Crothersville, Indiana.

PUBLIC NOTICE
On or about July 7, 2017, the Town of Crothersville intends to apply to the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority for a grant from the State Community Development Block Grant Program.  This program is funded by Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.  These funds are to be used for economic development, public facilities, and housing developments.  The purpose of this application shall be for an Aging in Place Housing Rehabilitation grant program to assist homes within the corporate limits of Crothersville, Indiana.
The Town of Crothersville will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Crothersville Senior Center, located at 114 E. Main Street, Crothersville, IN, to provide citizens an opportunity to express their views on community development and housing needs, past community development and housing activities, and the proposed new owner occupied rehabilitation grant program. In previous years, 2001, 2011 and 2015, the town was awarded Community Development Block Grant funds for Homeowner Repair and Improvement program activities. In 2010, the town was awarded Community Development Block Grant funds for a sanitary sewer project. In 2014, the town was awarded Community Development Block Grant funds for a Comprehensive Plan. In 2016, the town was awarded Community Development Block Grant funds for a Storm Drainage Improvements project.
Records regarding the account of these beneficiaries and funds are available from the Crothersville Clerk-Treasurer, 111 E. Howard St., Crothersville, Indiana.  Interested citizens are invited to provide comments regarding these issues either at the public hearing or by prior written statement.  A plan to minimize displacement and provide assistance to those displaced has been prepared and is available to the public.  The application will be available for review and comment on June 30, 2017.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice of Public Hearing Upon Petition for Variance under the master plan zoning ordinance of Jackson County, Indiana.
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of Jackson County, IN on the 14th day of March, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. EST, at the Jackson County Planning & Zoning Office located at 202 E. Walnut St., Brownstown, IN will conduct a public hearing upon petition for a Variance under the Master Plan Zoning Ordinance of Jackson County, Indiana.
Interested persons may appear in person or by counsel to present their views upon the proposed variance. Written suggestions or objections to this variance may be filed with the Secretary of the County Plan Commission at, or before the hearing and will be considered by the County Plan Commission.
The hearing may be continued from time to time as the Commission may deem necessary. A copy of the petition of the variance is on file in the office of the BZA at 202 E. Walnut St., Brownstown, IN for public examination. 812-358-6109.
