There will be no school board races in this November’s election as incumbents Dale Schmelzle and Trina McLain were the only candidates to file for election prior to the noon deadline last Friday.
According to Jackson County Election Clerk CiJi Fleetwood, Schmelzle and McLain were the only local residents to ask for school board candidacy petitions.
Schmelzle represents the west side of the town of Crothersville; McLain represents the portion of Vernon Township north of State Road 250.
