Jordan R. Bowles of rural Scottsburg was hired as a new police officer with the Crothersville Police Department last Tuesday during the Crothersville Town Council’s regular monthly meeting. The 23-year-old graduate of Vincennes University has a degree in Conservation Law and currently serves as a reserve officer with the Scott County Sheriff’s Department,
He will begin full-time work as a local patrolman on March 21. Clerk-Treasurer Michele Teipen is shown administering the oath of office to Bowles. The patrolman position became open with the retirement of Vurlin McIntosh at the end of last year.
