A surprise 65th anniversary celebration for Mike & Joann Seal of Crothersville was hosted by their family on Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Methodist Church Annex.
Mike and the former Joann Cathcart were married Sept. 14, 1947 in Jeffersonville.
He was born in Sneedsville, TN and is the son of the late Richard Samuel & Tennie (Collins) Seal. He retired from the old American Can company in Austin as the press department foreman after 35 years of service.
She is the daughter of the late Orris & Emma (Trueblood) Cathcart of Little York. She is a homemaker and enjoys quilting, her flower beds and canning vegetables from Mike’s garden.
The are the parents of two daughters, Phyllis Hall of Crothersville and Rhonda (James) McCammon of Seymour. Grandchildren include Christy (Jim) Williams, Richie Hunt, Ryan (Kara) Hunt all of Crothersville; Heather (Roger) Quillen of Seymour and Rachel (Curtis) Haines of Hayden; along with six great-grandchildren.
