Crothersville FFA members brought home a number of awards in the District XI Leadership contests last Thursday at Seymour. Crothersville competed against 14 other chapters including: Brownstown, Seymour, Scottsburg, West Washington, Paoli, and Orleans.
Those attending included:
Cody Brasher, 3rd place in Multimedia scrapbook and 3rd in Leadership Ambassador; Kayla Foster, 2nd place Plant & Soil Science demonstration; Erica Doyle, 1st place in Prepared Public Speaking, 1st in Ag Sales Demonstration, 1st in Specialty Crop proficiency, 3rd in Job Interview contest.; Bailey Lundy, 2nd place in Food Science demonstration; Brooke Prather, participated in the essay contest and 1st place in the Exhibit contest; Dillon Maxie, 1st place in the Exhibit contest; Logan Isenhower, 1st place Ag Mechanic and Technology demonstration; Leah Schill, 1st place in Traditional scrapbook, 3rd place in Extemporaneous Public Speaking, 2nd place in Horticulture Science demonstration, 1st place in Ag Communications proficiency, and a member of the 2nd place Quiz Bowl team; Joey Needler, participated in the Talent contest, 2nd place in Horticulture Science demonstration, and a member of the 2nd place Quiz Bowl team; Denise Maxie, 1st place in the FFA Creed contest, 2nd place in Freshman Prepared Public speaking, and a member of the 2nd place Quiz Bowl team; Kelsey Hoskins, participated in the Animal Science demonstration, 2nd place in Freshman Extemporaneous Public Speaking, and a member of the 2nd place Quiz Bowl team; Chandler Nehrt, 1st place in the Discovery Degree Prepared Public speaking; Kaitlyn Hoevener, 2nd place in Discovery Degree demonstration.
All first place winners will now compete at the Indiana FFA State Convention in June.
