Local Building Gets No Bid At Tax Sale

Three of the five properties offered last Wednesday at the Commissioners’ certificate sale were purchased. All of the parcels advertised were on the list for owing delinquent property taxes.

One of the two parcels that did not receive the minimum $200 bid was property owned by Environmental Awareness Reached Through Helping Hands, at 121 E. Howard Street in Crothersville.

The brick building has been the focus of the Crothersville Town Council due to its deteriorated condition. The council had discussed what to do with the building at their April 7 council meeting but delayed action pending the county certificate sale.

A 4/10 of an acre parcel at 611 North Street in Seymour, likewise, did not receive a minimum bid.

A .53 of an acres parcel at 3178 W. Water Street in Vallonia was sold for $450 and a .53 of an acre parcel at 7374 E 725 N Seymour was sold for $450. Both parcels were purchased by Tax Lien Trust 2033 of Indianapolis.

A1.07 acre parcel at 10366 N State Road 11, Seymour was purchased for $1,450 by Vida Investment Group LLC of Columbus.
