A Crothersville Police Captain was terminated from the department last week, however, Chief of Police Vurlin McIntosh is keeping mum on the matter.
Citing employee confidentiality, “He’s no longer with us,” is all McIntosh said he could say on the circumstances that prompted the termination of Crothersville Police Captain Darryl Hickman.
Hickman, a five year member of the local department, was terminated last
Thursday, March 24, the chief said.
McIntosh said the local department will be accepting applications for a full-time officer through April 13.
Applications can be obtained at the Crothersville Police Department at 404 Moore Street.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record, clean criminal background check and must pass written, agility and polygraph tests. After hiring officers must pass a 40 hour pre-basic police course and within one year complete a 15-week course at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
McIntosh said that no phone calls with questions on the position will be accepted.
