Jackson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) will hold a fundraising mystery dinner theatre ‘Kilkelly in Ireland’ at the Pines Evergreen Room on Saturday, Jan, 19, 2013.
Jackson County CASA is a non-profit volunteer program which provides advocacy to child victims of abuse and neglect to ensure that they remain at the forefront of the court proceedings and find a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.
“In 2011 our volunteers donated over 1,700 hours advocating for more than 125 abused and neglected children of Jackson County,” said Deena Personett, CASA spokeswoman. “However, there were over thirty children waiting for an advocate.  Our goal is that all children who are victims of abuse/neglect will have a CASA Volunteer.”
“The public is invited to join in for a you solve it mystery dinner theater, Kilkelly in Ireland, with a cast of local ‘celebrities’, we guarantee that you will be entertained as you & your friends/family try to solve the murder mystery to win the $250 first place prize,” said Personett.
