Ice Cream Social At Hamacher Hall Saturday

The Crothersville Town Players will host an Ice Cream Social this Saturday, July 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hamacher Hall.

This free event will include ice cream, sundae toppings, homemade cookies, iced tea and lemonade.

“The event is centered around the theme of an old-fashioned ice cream parlor, and promises to be fun for the entire family,” said Brenda Holzworth, president of the organization.

The Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association is a non-profit group with 501c3 status. Fundraisers and donations are the only means to maintain the programs available to residents of the Crothersville area. Memberships are available for $12 annually, or $6 for students. Monetary donations and volunteers are welcomed.

The purpose of the organization is to encourage the exploration and preservation of Crothersville history and to promote interest in cultural and performing arts. Event organizers include, Brenda Holzworth, Sandy Law, Linda Seals, and Eunice Lacey.

Hamacher Hall, built in 1885, is the former Presbyterian Church of Crothersville and has ties to John Hamacher, a founder of the Indiana town of Crothersville.
