All adults and teens, can take part in a series of free genealogy workshops, Genealogy Detectives, this fall at the Seymour Library. Each program takes place from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursdays in the Classroom, and there is a limit of 12 participants.

Part 1: September 19, is Timeline Development; Part 2: October 10, is Searching Online Beyond Ancestry & Heritage-Quest, and Part 3: October 24, is Library, Courthouse & Archive Research. People may attend one or more sessions.

Registration is preferred by September 17, by going to or calling the Seymour Library at 522-3412 ext. 1243.

The classes are taught by retired Local History Specialist and current county Historian and Genealogist Charlotte Sellers. They will learn about databases, sources & techniques available to advance their searches.
