Troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellers burg went to 320 South High Street in Austin last Wednesday to arrest Amanda L. Lyons on a warrant issued by Scott Circuit Court earlier in the day charging her with possessing and dealing in methamphetamines.
When troopers knocked, Lyons allowing police to see what they thought to be marijuana in the home and an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the residence. Troopers immediately secured the residence and obtained a search warrant.
Following the search officers located approximately four ounces of marijuana and several items of paraphernalia.
Amanda L. Lyons, 30, was arrested for possession of methamphetamines, dealing in methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, and maintaining a common nuisance.
Police also arrested her husband, Larry G. Lyons, 45, for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
They were incarcerated in the Scott County Jail.
