Officers with the Indiana State Police are investigating the theft of copper from one of their radio tower sites.
On Friday Master Trooper David McKalip was dispatched to the Indiana State Police radio tower site on County Road SW 60 in Decatur County on a report of some stolen wire.
Stolen was three copper grounding bars and approximately 10 feet of copper wire. The monetary loss is estimated at $6,000-$10,000, police said.
The theft occurred sometime between December 17 and January 7.
