Community Foundation Board Announces New Matching Program

The Board of Directors of the Community Foundation has approved a new matching program for Jackson County. Gifts to create new endowments and gifts to current permanent endowments will now receive a 50% match.
“This is a great opportunity for those who have already created endowments and scholarships” said Foundation President Bud Walther. “Individuals, groups and organizations can now significantly increase the value and the annual grants for endowment funds they have already created.”
The Foundation will match any gift up to $10,000. This means that a gift of $20,000 will instantly become a $30,000 addition to the endowment.
“New endowed funds are also eligible for the match” Walther said. “If anyone has been on the fence waiting to start a new fund, now is the time!” The rules for the match are simple:
•Gifts must be made to existing or new endowed funds
•Maximum match per gift is $10,000
•Matching money is limited, so first come first served.
