Thirty-eight seniors at Crothersville high School are scheduled to graduate this Friday during the school’s 118th commencement ceremony.
Graduation begins at 8 p.m. in the CHS Cafetorium.
The Class of 2014 will enter the auditorium to the traditional tune ‘Pomp & Circumstance’. Senior class vice president Justin Jackson will offer opening words followed by a welcome from CHS Principal David Schill.
The CHS Concert Choir will perform “Time of Your Life” featuring senior soloist Shelby Steward.
Anna Wetzel, daughter of Dennis & Jacquie Wetzel will offer the Salutatorian address. She graduates with a 3.992 GPA and will be attending IUPUI to major in Business.
After the CHS Concert Choir’s rendition of “I’ll Always Remember You” featuring soloist Shelby Steward, Meagan Bailey, daughter of Randall & Tammy Bailey, will deliver the Valedictorian address. She graduates with a 4.0 GPA and will be attending Indiana University to major in Nursing.
Principal David Schill will introduce the class members and School Superintendent Dr. Terry Goodin will present the diplomas.
Senior class president Megan Bailey will offer remarks and lead her class in the transfer of tassels.
Senior class treasurer Macaila Shirley will offer some closing words before the class exits the auditorium.
The class motto is “We cannot live for yesterday or yesterday’s dreams but for today and tomorrow’s reality.”
The class flower is the Gerber Daisy and the class colors are orange & blue.
Mary Jo Isenhower and Chrystal Street served as the class sponsors.
