Art students from Crothersville High School recently delivered a mural to Cerro Wire they painted for the employee entrance at the Crothersville manufacturing company. Memee Manoopun, an exchange student from Thailand, made the initial sketch on the luan boards for the 100 ft. mural before the students began painting. A group of 30-35 students were involved in the project with 99% of the work being completed by the students themselves.
Cerro Wire donated $3,600 to the Art Club to help with the cost of their trip to Italy scheduled for Spring Break of 2012. Most recently in 2010, a group of students traveled to Paris, France.
The trip slated for 2012 will be comprised of 8-12 students who plan to tour Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome Italy.
Paul Ridsdale, President of Cerro Wire, presents a check in the amount of $3,600 to Adam Robinson, Art Teacher and Art Club Sponsor at Crothersville High School, and the CHS Art Club for painting a mural for Cerro’s employee entrance. A portion of the 100 ft. long x 8 ft. tall mural is in the background. Students responsible for the art work on this project are seated in front.
