CARD Continues With Plans For Community

The Crothersville Area Revitalization and Development has named as their main project helping to revitalize the Red, White and Blue Festival. We are enjoying working with the festival crew, Sherri Bridges, Todd Baker, Buster Erwin, and Doris Kovener.

During the festival we will be having a Pet & People Walk on Saturday, June 13, at 8 a.m. starting and ending at the Town Hall. All ages are welcomed and all pets that are breathing and contained will be able to participate. Registration fee will be $10 and there will be a 1st & 2nd place for the Men’s, Women’s and Youth Divisions. Registration forms will be available May 1 to sign up. This will be a little less than a mile walk.

That Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Linda Seals, CARD treasurer, has been planning 5 different games for the children and their families to participate in. Tickets for these games will be 3 games for $1 with prizes available to win at each game.

We will be having various demonstrations for everyone to watch and be involved in as we go back to the basics of our community honoring of our Veterans, gathering for fun, food, reunions of family and friends and bonding together for our ‘Common’ Unity.
