Weighing in at just an ounce shy of 7 pounds, this is one of the larger sweet potatoes Billy G. Deaton of Uniontown said he has raised this year.
The summer drought kept the area gardener busy with irrigating. “I watered them with pond water,” said Deaton. “I guess pond water is the secret to growing big sweet potatoes.”
