Officials at Crothersville Community Schools have announced that the 2013-14 school year will begin in just over two weeks with the first day of class being Friday, August 2.
Registration for all students, including students new to the school district, will be held next Tuesday, July 23, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All registrations will be held in foyer area located between the two gymnasiums
Parents registering their students new to the school must bring the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, Social Security number, name and address of their former school.
Parents must also provide the school with their address and job information, phone numbers where the parent or guardian can be reached during the school day should the child become ill or injured.
Parents are required to attend the registration and are advised to not send their child alone.
At registration parents are expected to pay textbook rental and deposit money into their child’s lunch account. If needed they can complete lunch and textbook assistance forms.
Jr.-Sr. High School students will get their locker assignments, and be able to purchase their required student planner and parking permit.
Book rental fees are as follows: Kindergarten, $76; 1st Grade, $124; 2nd Grade, $110; 3rd Grade, $96; 4th Grade, $104; 5th Grade, $96.
Student meal prices remain the same as last year at $2.25 for lunch and $1.25 for breakfast.
There will be a Sixth Grade Parent/Student Middle School Orientation next Thursday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Cafetorium. If your child is just starting into Middle School plan to attend this most important training and informational meeting. It will help ease the transition for the student from elementary school to middle school.
