online-cedar-waxwingA Cedar Waxwing dines on the berries of a Amur Honeysuckle in the nearby Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge.

The bush honeysuckle was introduced as a landscaping plant but quickly turned into an invasive plant in the Midwest United States creating dense thickets that eliminate native plants with its heavy shade.

Its bright red seeds are spread by birds as evidenced from this photo.
