‘Bud’ Walter, CEO of the Community Foundation of Jackson County talks with those in attendance at the ribbon cutting of the Jackson County Learning Center, a new post secondary training facility for adults in Jackson County.
The $2.4 million building located on Dupont Drive in Seymour will serve the area’s existing and future post-secondary educational needs, as well as work force training and development.
To the left of Walther is Teresa Lubbers, Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education; 9th District Congressman Baron Hill, and Seymour Mayor Craig Luedeman.
Crothersville native Andy Royalty of Royalty Development was the builder of the 20,000 sqare foot structure which was built nearly exclusively by Jackson County contractors and suppliers. The learning center was dedicated to the late Lee ‘Sam’ Royalty and Florence ‘Bootsie’ Royalty of Crothersville.
